From Paraguay and Brazil to Top of the Footvolley World
Esteban Davalos is a middle child. He began playing footvolley because his older brother introduced him to the game. After that, his younger brothers also joined. They grew up in Paraguay – a landlocked country – that borders Brazil and Argentina.
‘We had a volleyball net and started with volleyball. That is what all the kids played in school. I was good at volleyball as well. When my older brother brought his friends over for what was a new game – footvolley – we all became hooked! It became an obsession. We would play every day. Years later, I represented Paraguay in the World Championships and we beat Brazil. Who would have thought that?’

Felipe Nascimento – is born, and raised, right outside of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has always dreamed big things. First it was soccer, a dabble in politics, and of course – footvolley. He learned quickly and also crowned himself World Champion with his long-time friend, and on-court partner, Renan.
‘Footvolley is an incredible sport. It will become global in time. I am here to help with the growth’
– Felipe Nascimento
Both athletes have arrived to South Florida and will be competing this weekend on Hollywood Beach, FL at Indiana Street. This will be the first time either Esteban or Felipinho have competed on the Pro Footvolley Tour. If footvolley is to become an Olympic Sport – the World Champions are here to further proof that point.
‘Two AMAZING World Champions making their debuts. What more can you ask? We are excited!’
– Tour President – Sergio Menezes
Week 3’s ‘Main Event’ – the important tournament will be on Saturday. Normally – the tournament is Sunday; however, it was moved due to Mother’s Day. Thus, Esteban will compete with his younger brother – and 2022 MVP – Moises Davalos. Felipe Nascimento will pair up with US ace, and Tour veteran, Fernando Plentz.
