Melony Blanco & Jonathan Silva Win Week 3 Mixed Doubles

This tournament had all the billings to be the best one so far in 2023.
Winners from Week 1 – Kaitlyn Brunworth would compete.
Winners from Week 2 – Marina Leal and Gabriel Sodre would compete.
Favorites in Melony Blanco and Jonathan Silva would compete.

So … yes, fireworks! In one semifinal, Brunworth/Baroncoski faced Blanco and Silva. The favorites moved on.
In the other semifinal, Leal/Lube faced Karol Barros and Gabriel Sodre. The veteran Barros this time played the role of spoiler perfectly and moved on.
The Championship Match was somewhat anticlimactic as Silva/Blanco were totally superior and showed why they were the best team in the event.
Things didn’t go as smoothly as planned; however as Blanco/Silva nearly lost a catastrophic first match to Andrea Gomez/Pedro Kassam.
Other than that, the Mixed Doubles went as predicted with the favorites knocking off contenders with relative ease.
