Moises Davalos & Victor Martinez Suprise Everyone and Win Stop 6

Just when you think you have seen it all … you see it again.

With newcomer Lucas Ramos (16-year old Brazilian sensation based in Orlando, FL) making his debut on the 2024 Pro Footvolley Tour in spectacular fashion it seemed the Tour was done with past Champions. Ramos teamed up with Will ‘SuperBoy’ Lobato. What a duo they were all afternoon. Clearly – it seemed – either they would win it all OR Jonathan Silva and Dani Mendonca would repeat their Stop 5 glory. Well … it looked like it would happen; but it didn’t. In absolutely startling fashion, Moises Davalos and Victor Martinez brushed off Group Stage losses and woke up from the dead – to surprisingly defeat Ramos/Lobato in the Semi-Final 25-22. This dealt the newly formed team a massive blow as both athletes remained stunned, and saddened, with what they considered a most unexpected loss. In the other Semi-Final, Silva/Mendonca – the clear favorites – breezed through to the final dispensing Menezes/Csak along the way 25-13.

Here comes the stunner … Davalos/Martinez who had no business in the Final – and much less – making it competitive … surprised Silva/Mendonca in stunning fashion to win it all!
The Paraguayans found their game when it mattered most and beat the event’s two best teams to earn an unexpected 2024 Tour Stop 6 Championship.
