Southern California Reigns Supreme for Stop 6
The Pro Footvolley Tour returned to the Mid-Atlantic region – specifically the Eastern Shore and Ocean City, MD.
The team furthest away left Champions … Southern California based Gustavo Teodoro & Bruno Soares are
your 2025 Pro Footvolley Tour Ocean City (MD) Stop 6 Champions!
‘We brought our best teams and they put on quite a show! We are happy with the Tour Stop, our host partner, and the athletes that came from super far distances to compete … including our Champions Teodoro & Bruninho [from LA]. Ocean City is awesome! We can’t wait to return next year for another incredible event!’
– Tour President, Sergio Menezes
Group Stages
As expected, tournament favorites the Southern California based squad of Gustavo Teodoro and Bruninho Soares and the South Florida team of Will ‘SuperBoy’ Lobato with Lucas ‘Model’ Paes won their groups respectively. Huntington Beach’s Joao Barreto and Miami Beach’s Pedro Lube were runners up in Group B. Back to Group A – Leonardo ‘Peleo’ Santana (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) played alongside the teen sensation Lucas Ramos (Port St. Lucie, FL) and came up in second place. Karoy Csak (Toronto, CA) and Thiago Cunha (Fort Lauderdale, FL) put up a fight versus the Southern California squad and Barreto/Lube – but were eliminated after just two matches. Same fate for Baronkowski/Chacon who were left reflecting on their losses to Lobato/Paes and Santana/Ramos.

‘We faced SuperBoy. Then the SuperTeen! It’s not just the PRO Footvolley Tour … it’s World-Class Olympic level!’

Finals
In the semi-finals – two spectacular matches kept fans in the bleachers as the drama unfolded as to who would be crowned Ocean City (MD) champions. First, Teodoro/Soares (Los Angeles, CA) eliminated Barreto/Lube. Lobato/Paes then put the brakes on the Super-Teen Ramos & Santana squad. The Championship match lived up to its billing. By barely escaping before darkness, Teodoro/Soares pulled away late and secured the victory in an epic match that had the crowd on its feet at the end.
